Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a lot of packaging?

We use eco-conscious materials wherever possible. Your order will arrive in a double-walled cardboard box with foil insulation and recyclable, non-toxic ice packs.

While it’s necessary to protect your cheeses in transit, we’re always working on more sustainable options. The box is curbside recyclable, and the ice pack liquid can be safely poured down the sink before recycling the plastic.

How should I store my cheeses?

Pop your cheeses (and any other chilled items like butters or meat alternatives) straight into the fridge at 5°C or below.

Once opened, we recommend keeping them in an airtight container to stay fresh for longer. Be sure to check individual packaging for specific storage and allergen info.

Can I return packaging to reduce waste?

We don’t currently have a return-by-post scheme, but we try to make as much of the packaging recyclable as possible.

Can I collect my order from the shop?

We’re no longer offering in-store collection for online orders, sorry!

Do you deliver outside the UK?

Not just yet — but we’re working on it!

Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear when international shipping becomes available.

Can I make a large or wholesale order?

Absolutely! Wholesale orders are largely handled through CLF Distribution.

If you're a retailer or food business, please register for a wholesale account here: CLF Signup

Alternatively, email hello@lafauxmagerie.co.uk and we'll see how we can help.

What are your cheeses made from?

We use a variety of bases including cashews, almonds, butterbeans and sweet potatoes! We’re always experimenting — so expect new creations in future.

What’s the shelf life? Can they be frozen?

Most cheeses last 7+ days from delivery and some are suitable for freezing. Please check individual product pages for more information.

Do your products contain allergens?

Yes - we use nuts, soy and mustard in many of our cheeses, and they all may contain gluten - so it's best to check the allergy information on each product page or send us an email

Allergen info is listed on each product page online.

Can I buy in store?

We don't currently have our own bricks and mortar store, but we do have lots of stockists and availability via Waitrose - nationwide!
