Common Queries
How should I store my fauxmage?
Keep your cheese refrigerated and sealed in its original packaging until you're ready to enjoy it. Once opened, we recommend storing in Tupperware and consuming within 3 days. Some natural variation can occur as the cheese continues to mature - just like traditional dairy cheese.
Can I freeze your cheeses?
Most of our cheeses can be frozen for up to one month, making it easy to enjoy them at your own pace. For best results, wrap well and defrost slowly in the fridge before serving.
Please note that soft, bloomy-rind cheeses (like our Camemvert-style) are best enjoyed fresh and aren’t suited to freezing.
If you’re unsure about freezing, email us (support@lafauxmagerie.co.uk) and we’ll advise.
Are your cheeses suitable for those avoiding dairy?
Yes - all of our cheeses are 100% plant-based and made using carefully selected ingredients and whole foods bases. We use traditional cheesemaking techniques (including fermentation and ageing) to create depth of flavour and texture, without any dairy.
