Where to Buy Vegan Cheese in the UK

Ten years ago, "vegan cheese" meant a rubbery block that melted like a candle (if you were lucky!). Today it means a mould-ripened blue with a proper funk, gooey Camembert-style wheels with a real bloomy rind, and smoked wedges that holds their own on any board. The UK's plant-based cheese scene has grown up and as the country's first plant-based cheesemonger, we've been at the heart of it since 2019.

So if you're searching for where to actually get your hands on great vegan cheese — whether that's near you, in your weekly shop, or delivered to your door — here's the up-to-date picture.

Order online, delivered anywhere in the UK

The simplest way to get our full range is directly from us. We deliver across the UK, packed to arrive in great condition, with everything from single wedges to full cheese hampers for gifting or a proper spread. That means the whole collection arrives at your door wherever you are.

That's the beauty of it: the whole collection — including the cultured, truffle and seasonal styles you won't find on a supermarket shelf — arrives at your door wherever you live, nationwide. When there's no stockist nearby, the "near me" that's always nearby is your own front door!

Find us in Waitrose, nationwide

Prefer to pick up in person? Some of our best-loved cheeses are stocked in over 230 Waitrose stores across the UK — so not just in London, but throughout the South East and South West, the Midlands, East Anglia, the North, Scotland, Wales and even the Channel Islands.

  • Brixton Blue: a creamy, piquant, mould-ripened almond-based blue. One for Roquefort lovers.
  • Shoreditch Smoked: cheddar-inspired with smoky applewood overtones. Made for chutneys and a cold lager.

From London to Edinburgh, Cardiff to Norwich — and everywhere in between — there's a good chance your local Waitrose has us in the chiller. Find your nearest store →

Ask at your local deli

Beyond Waitrose, we supply independent delis, cafés and farm shops around the UK through our wholesale partners. Availability shifts from shop to shop, so it's always worth asking at your local — and if they don't stock us yet, do tell them they should. Some of our favourite stockists started life with a single customer asking the question.

Vegan or plant-based or dairy-free, what do I look for?

A quick note, since people search for us using all this terminology... it's all the same to us! We don't think of it as imitating cheese; we reinvent it, using age-old fermentation techniques on plant ingredients (mostly almonds and cashews), cultured and rind-ripened the way dairy cheese is. That's what gives our plant-based blue its funk and our Camembert its bloomy rind. It's naturally dairy-free and lactose-free, which suits a lot of people — but above all, it's made to be a genuine indulgence, whether you're vegan, dairy-free by choice, or curious.

Which vegan cheese should you start with?

If you're new to plant-based cheese, build a small board across three textures: something soft (Camemvert), something with a kick (Brixton Blue), and something familiar and smoky (Shoreditch Smoked or Camden Cultured). It's the quickest way to convince a sceptic — and most people are genuinely surprised.

Wherever you are in the UK, exceptional vegan cheese is closer than you think. Order it to your door, pop it in your Waitrose basket, or ask for it by name at your local deli.
